The Ragdoll
The Ragdoll is a reacent breed, it comes from the 60’s, in the United States, it has been created by a selective crossing performed by Ann Baker, and it came to Europe in the 80’s and to Spain, ten years later thanks to Patricia Brownsell.
The peculiar thing in ragdoll is its capacity to relax totally its muscles when it is taken in arms, being inert, as if it was a ragdoll, thats where its name comes from. This characteristic, together with their spectacular beauty and its tremendous expresivity and sensitivity, making of him an exceptional pet, that coexists in perfect harmony with other animals like dogs or cats.
This ragdoll is able to develop a perfect symbiosis with its owner, you will know how it feels of the same way that it will express its mood and will demonstrate its unconditional love to you.
It is a great, robust cat, of semilong hair, silky and extremely pleasant to the tact, that does not tie. Their eyes are almond shape, of wonderful an intense blue.
Its sweet and balanced character, but simultaneously amused and playful make him an ideal companion for the children.
They are very sociable animals that will not run to hide when visits arrive , but they will be docile and trusting when you caress them. Its beauty and affection will captivate to all its friendships and will even surprise even to the people ignorant of feline world.
In ragdoll there are three fundamental patterns: colorpoint, mitted and bicolor, in the classic colors, seal, blue, chocolate and lila, and in new colors, red and cream, tortie and tabby.
